Slackline UBC is an open community of people who are enthusiastic about slacklining at UBC and in Vancouver - from the absolute beginner to the well seasoned pro, everybody is welcome and encouraged to join us and spread the sport.
Slacklining is a sport growing in popularity around the world that involves tensioning nylon webbing between two points and walking across it. It is an incredibly positive activity, for the physical and mental benefits that it provides, as well as being an empowering sport that delivers instant gratification and rewards.
We host regular meetups at UBC at the end of Student Union Boulevard and communicate primarily through our Facebook page, Slackline UBC [https://www.facebook.com/groups/slacklineubc/]. This page is a platform to share ideas for slackline gatherings, or just tell others when you plan to set up a line on the UBC campus and Greater Vancouver. While we are based at UBC, we would love to welcome youth from the wider Vancouver community to join us.
