The Society for Children and Youth of B.C. (SCY) is a unique provincial advocacy organization dedicated to improving the well-being of children and youth. Since 1974, SCY has provided a forum for multi-disciplinary exchange and action for organizations and individuals working with and for young people.
We are seeking a Communications & Child Rights Projects Coordinator to start immediately. This is a full-time (35 hours per week) position. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications & Child Rights Projects Coordinator is responsible for the development, planning, execution and administration of the Society’s communications initiatives and child rights projects. Most significantly, this position will coordinate the multi-year, multi-phase BC Child Rights Public Awareness Campaign led by the Society in partnership/association with many other child and youth serving organizations in the province.
All of SCY’s initiatives are focused on advocating for the well-being of children and youth and building the capacity of children, youth and communities to support the implementation of child rights. We are looking for a Coordinator with child rights and communications experience to join our team.
This position is subject to a criminal record check. Some travel throughout the province may be required.
The successful candidate will be able to provide a significant contribution to the Society’s work in promoting children’s rights awareness and developing child and youth friendly communities across the province. We are looking for a dedicated individual to help support and strengthen our growing organization.
Compensation: Starting annual salary in the range of $40,000 - $45,000 plus benefits. For further information, please see the detailed job description
